Lancers Advance to MASCAC Championship with Victory over Rams

Worcester, MA- In a rematch of last year's 2025 MASCAC Championship game, the #1 seed Worcester State Lancers hosted the #4 seed Framingham State Rams on Coughlin Field. Last season's championship ended with Worcester claiming their first MASCAC Championship, defeating the Rams 13-11. Framingham and Worcester met earlier this season on Coughlin field, where Worcester managed to claim a 14-10 victory. Framingham entered the game with a victory over Fitchburg State, 18-3, this past Tuesday in the MASCAC quarterfinals.

Worcester, MA- In the final game of the regular season the Worcester State  Women’s Lacrosse team (11-5, 6-0) hosted the Salem State Vikings in their Morgan’s Message game. Morgan’s SMessage was created in remembrance of Morgan Rodgers, a former Duke University Lacrosse student-athlete who died tragically in July 2019 after battling mental health struggles. Although Morgan’s life was cut way too short, her legacy of unconditional love remains. Morgan’s Message was created by her family and former teammates with the mission to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, normalize the conversations about mental health, and ensure that mental health is treated equally to physical health for all student-athletes. Lancers Claim the Home Opening Win over Corsairs on Hair Havoc Pink Out Game Day

Worcester, MA- After starting the season on the road, the Worcester State Women’s lacrosse team (1-1, 0-0) hosted its home opener today with a Hair Havoc/Rosen Cancer Awareness Game at Coughlin Field. While spectators were not allowed in the stadium as a result of the recent weather, each team still honored the causes with their game day hair and Pink Rosen T-Shirts to help raise awareness.  The Headstrong Foundation is relentless in improving the quality of life for those affected by cancer. With every action that we take, we are fulfilling the vision of the late Nicholas Colleluori, our founder. Nick’s last wish was that others would benefit from his journey. The Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund aims to provide a robust curriculum that supports peer-to-peer education regarding early cancer detection.  The importance of Raising Awareness in our young people, particularly Worcester State students, has never been more important and can effectively expedite important educational initiatives to curb the prevalence of late-stage cancer detection and increase longevity. Donations are currently being accepted at alumni.worcester.edu

Worcester, MA- The 2025 defending MASCAC Championship Women’s Lacrosse team began their season a day later than expected today with a weather delayed shift in their meeting with Western New England. In a snow wrapped field with minimal spectator participation, the Lancers headed west to the Golden Bears to kick off their 2026 season.
