Lancers Tackle Seahawks in Spring Break Opener
Worcester, MA- The Lancers women’s Lacrosse team (3-2, 0-0) opened up their Spring Break games in Hilton Head early this morning as they faced off against the Salve Regina Seahawks.

How it Happened:
Worcester would dominate their first showing of their Spring Break trip taking down the Seahawks 20-9. Senior Mckayla Fisher (Peabody, MA) would open in the action in the first on a free position shot. Senior Molly Witkowski (Greenville, NY) would then add a second from first year Fallon Lozano (Upton, MA) before Fisher would slip in the third from first year Meghan Heffernan (Westminster, MA). Junior Kerry Brown (Billerica, MA) would close out the first with a goal, adding an assist from Witkowski.
The second would find Worcester continue to roll as Lozano again added a free-position goal with Witkowski from Fisher with goal number six. Goal seven would be delivered courtesy of junior Meghan Bowen (Westfield, MA) from senior Shannon Donahue (Dennis, MA). First year Savannah Botthof (Chester, PA) would assist goal eight to Brown, before Brown hit the hat trick with a free position goal. Fisher would grab goals 10 and 11 before the half.
The second half found four goals in the third quarter as Junior Madigan Kelley (Bourne, MA), Heffernan, Bowen and Brown would push the Lancer total to 14. The final quarter found Donahue, Fisher and Heffernan recording six goals to secure the 20-9 victory.

The Blue and Gold have a quick turn around as they face Ursinus at 9:30am on St. Patrick's day.
