Personal:

Katie was born in Framingham, Mass... is majoring in health education at Worcester State... the daughter of Deb and Juha Puumala... has three siblings, Aleks, Erika and Jaclyn... favorite spot on campus: the Wellness Center... chose Worcester State because of the great opportunity to further her education and hockey career.

Before Worcester State: 

Katie is a 2019 graduate of The Winchendon School in Winchendon, Mass... where she played varsity soccer, ice hockey and lacrosse.... transferred to Worcester State after two years at Becker College... tallied 17 goals and 22 assists in for 39 points in 38 games for the Hawks... was named the Colonial Hockey Conference Rookie of the Year and to the CHC All-Rookie Team in 2019-20.
