Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Cross-Country team travelled to Bowdoin to compete in the NCAA DIII East Regional in what turned out to be a perfect race day. The Lancers finished in 29th place and 3rd in the MASCAC behind the dominant performance of first year James Riley (Shrewsbury, MA). The Lancers edged out conference foes Framingham St. in the team score with James Riley crossing in 114th for all runners.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Cross-Country team travelled down to Stanley Park this afternoon in defense of their 2021 MASCAC Championship. The team graduated their All-Conference runner from last season but have been led all season by the strong racing of first year James Riley (Shrewsbury, MA) and his fellow first years, along with strong leadership form the championship returning core from last year headed by senior Ethan Goodreau (Spencer, MA). The Lancers finished the race sitting in 4th in the MASCAC at the conclusion of the race.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Cross-Country team travelled down to Connecticut College for an early afternoon race, the last in a prep series before heading back to defend last seasons conference championship. The team was a strong presence on the course this afternoon, finishing 13 on the afternoon just edging out Clark University.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Cross-Country team travelled out to Stanley Park for a prep face for the MASCAC Championship at the end of the month, this afternoon squaring up against a wide range of opponents. The team had a strong showing on the afternoon as they got the first look at the course that will see them defending their championship.
On Sep. 2, James Riley led the Worcester State Men's Cross Country team with a 5K time of 18:13. Two weeks later on Sep. 17, Riley once again finished first amongst his teammates at the UMass-Dartmouth invitational. Just last Friday again, Riley went out and put up a personal best 8K time of 28:09. And this week marks one month that James Riley has been a student-athlete at the collegiate level.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Cross-Country team travelled to Lehigh, PA this afternoon to compete in the Paul Short Invitational against top national competition. The Team recorded three personal records in the 8k race to compile a team score of 1,123.
Worcester, MA - The Lancers’ Men’s and Women’s teams continued their MASCAC Cross Country run at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational today, against several New England-based schools.
