Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey team has nine named to All-Conference Awards that were voted on by the ECHA head coaches. Clare Conway led the honors with her selection as Player of the Year, while head coach Eliza Kelley was named Coach of the Year. In only the Lancers second season of competition they have secured back-to-back ECHA conference championship, defeating Anna Maria in both finals to take home the title.
Worcester, MA-It was a championship game full of storylines. A rematch of last season’s title game between the Worcester State University Lancers and the Anna Maria College Amcats. It was a rubber game, as the two squads split their season series a game a piece. It was a revenge game for the Amcats who looked to redeem their loss in last year’s ECHL final. It was a revenge game for the Lancers, who lost their first conference game in program history to the Amcats less than a month ago. The stage was set for an epic championship battle. And the game did not disappoint.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Athletics department is excited to announce the hosting of a double Championship Sunday. The one seeded Worcester State Men’s Basketball and Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey teams will host their respective championships Sunday February 26.
Worcester, Mass. - The Lancers and Greyhounds clashed Friday afternoon in the ECHA Semifinals at the Worcester Ice Center. In front of a lively crowd full of chants and cheers, the Lancers’ conquest for back-to-back ECHA titles began with an offensive thriller over the Greyhounds.
Worcester, MA- On Saturday evening, the Worcester State Women’s Hockey team was back in action to take on Rivier in a road contest to wrap up the regular season. The Lancers and Raiders played to a 3-3 tie on the evening.

Worcester, Mass. - The Lancers and Amcats clashed Saturday afternoon, wearing special jerseys for Breast Cancer Awareness, in a conference battle at the DCU Center for their “Pink in the Rink” game. Worcester State, with a goal of extending their undefeated streak in the ECHA, were unable to put one in the net as they dropped their first conference game of the season to Anna Maria.
Worcester, MA- A busy weekend for the Lancers Women’s Hockey team got off to a hot start tonight when they hosted the Curry College Colonels.
Worcester, MA- On Saturday afternoon, the Worcester State Women’s Hockey team was back in action to take on Wilkes for the second consecutive night. The Lancers defeated the Colonels by a score of 4-1.
Worcester, MA- On Friday evening, the Worcester State Women’s Hockey team was back in action to take on Wilkes University in a PA road trip. The Lancers defeated the Colonels by a score of 2-0.
Worcester, MA- On Saturday, January 28, Worcester State Athletics honored some exemplary Lancer Student Athletes and an Alumnus in a halftime ceremony of the Men?s Basketball game versus Salem State. Worcester State paid tribute to the 2022 MASCAC Hall of Fame induction of Eric Swedberg and the participation of Men?s Ice Hockey player Max Roth for Team USA in the Maccabiah Games, where the team won the gold medal, and Women?s Ice Hockey member Clare Conway who was selected to play with Team USA in the World University Games.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women's Ice Hockey team travelled across town to take on the Assumption University Women's Ice Hockey team in a ECHA conference matchup. The Lancers looked to remain undefeated in conference play this season, in defense of their championship last season, and continue their conference undefeated streak to 11-0.
Worcester, MA- Looking to remain unbeaten in conference play, the Worcester State University Women’s Ice Hockey team took on their cross-town rival this afternoon as the Assumption Greyhounds visited the Lancers.
Worcester, MA- On Saturday evening, the Worcester State Women’s Hockey team was back in action to take on Western New England University (WNE) on the road in a second night of a home-and-home matchup. The Lancers tied the Golden Bears by a score of 1-1.
Through the first half of the season, Jennarae Bateman has put up eight points including the deciding goal of the Lancers victory this past Tuesday night. A native of Forest Lake, Minn., she has come halfway across the country to join the first ever freshman class in Worcester State Women?s Hockey history. While Bateman is currently putting together a fine season on a solid squad, WSU was hardly on her radar throughout the recruitment process. But the risk of joining a new program seems to be paying off for the young forward in more ways than one.

Tonight, Worcester was the scene for the first half of a home-and-away series against a very solid Western New England University Golden Bears squad.
