Conway and Lee Named ECHA Player and Goaltender of the Week
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women?s Ice Hockey team had two named to the ECHA Player of the Week after their 2-0 week over New England College. The Lancers brought home their first home victory of the season with a 2-1 OT win over the Pilgrims followed the next day by a 5-1 victory on New England?s home ice.

Graduate Student forward Clare Conway (Billerica, MA) recorded three goals over the two wins, she now has recorded 103 points in her collegiate career and 45 for the Lancers. Conway struck twice in the first game versus the Pilgrims, nabbing not only the game winner, but was the lone goal scorer of the game with her two goals on the night. Conway followed this offensive active up the following day adding another goal on the weekend and wrapping up the series with a +3.
Senior Amber Lee (Fairlawn, NJ) was named the ECHA Goaltender of the week after her 77 save, two win weekend that saw the Pilgrims only able to knock in two goals in 123 minutes of action. Lee wrapped up the weekend with a .97 GAA over New England, allowing only a single goal in each game. The senior currently has 209 saves and a .933 save percentage this season, and 904 over her career with Worcester State with a cumulative save percentage of .929%.
The Lancers end the week 2-0 and play next tonight, November 22, at Curry College with puck drop scheduled for 7pm.
