Worcester, MA- On Sunday April 26, 2026 the Worcester State Men’s hockey team, families, alumni and friends of the program came together at their annual end of the year Break Up Dinner. They celebrated the end of this academic year, the 2025-26 the hockey season, the three graduating seniors and acknowledged the performance not only of the team but recognized the performances of team members.
Worcester, MA- The Lancers Men’s Ice Hockey team (9-11-4, 2-8-3) squared off with the Rivier Raiders this evening in a crucial post season battle with playoffs on the line. A win would send Worcester to the post season in their control and Worcester went into the game looking for revenge from an earlier season loss to the Raiders to make it happen.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Ice Hockey team (9-8-4, 2-5-3) returned home tonight to host a game in honor of student athlete Evan Armit, who passed away in August, and the creation of the “11-Fund” in his honor. This fund, created with the support of Teddy Bear Pools and Spas, will be a permanent endowment established at Worcester State University to honor the legacy of student-athlete Evan Armit, who passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 23 following a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma.

Worcester, MA- In a return to action after a tough battle in the Codfish Bowl versus UMass Boston last week, the Worcester State Men’s Ice Hockey team (5-5-3, 1-2-2) hosted NE-10 foe Franklin Pierce at the Fidelity Bank Ice Center. Also in the balance of the outcome is Head Coach Bob Deraney’s hunt for his 350th career NCAA Head Coaching win.
Worcester, MA- In their second Championship appearance of the season, the Worcester State Lancers (5-4-3, 1-2-2) aim to claim their second championship of the season in a meeting with UMass-Boston in the Codfish Bowl Championship. With a win today, Head Coach Bob Deraney would claim his career 350th NCAA Head Coaching win. Deraney had 319 wins during his tenure with the Providence College Women’s Ice Hockey team, before joining Worcester State in the 2021 season.
