WESTFIELD, Mass. – 34 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been honored for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2025 Spring Sportsmanship Teams.
he 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all 10 regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
The 2025 D3baseball.com All-Region teams have been announced. The 2025 season marks the 13th season that D3baseball.com has named All-Region teams, with more than 1,000 players nominated. The ballot was then made available to D3baseball.com staff and contributors from which three teams in each region were determined.
Worcester, MA- with the conclusion of the regular season the Worcester State Baseball team (23-13, 12-9) clinched the fourth seed in the MASCAC Tournament. Kicking off the action the Lancers faced Salem State (17-26, 12-9) in the First Round of the tournament, with the winner advancing to take on Bridgewater State in the double elimination quarterfinals. The Lancers claimed the regular season series 2-1 over Salem State to grab the tiebreaker for home field in today’s meeting.
Westfield, Mass. — Brett Velzis and Hunter Dean of Mass. Maritime have been named the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player and Pitcher of the Year and headline the 2025 MASCAC All-Conference team as voted by the eight coaches from around the league.
Worcester, MA- With the conclusion of the regular season, the lancers have again been awarded Pitcher of the Week honors by the MASCAC. Graduate student Ben Smith (Bourne, MA) was honored for the third time this season as Pitcher of the Week.
Worcester, MA- With the final games of the regular season, the Worcester State Baseball team (23-11, 12-7) looks to complete the end of season series sweep over Mass. Maritime. The Lancers claimed the first game win last night in an 8-4 late night battle.This afternoon’s games are also being played in honor of the 2025 senior class which will included Mike Bean (Tampa, FL), Mason Bates (Shrewsbury, MA), Anthony Iamarone (Providence, RI), Tyler Smith (Leominster, MA), Andrew Medina (Boston, MA), and Xavier Quezada (Providence, RI).
Worcester, MA- With the final series on the clock, the Worcester State Baseball team (22-11, 11-7) looks to continue their winning ways with an opening nine-inning win over Mass. Maritime in a series that has significant final seeding implications. If Worcester is able to sweep the Buccaneers they are able to put themselves in place for a second seed showing in the MASCAC playoffs.
Worcester, MA- With the final non-conference meeting of the season set for today, the Lancers (21-11, 11-7) will host Keene State in a last primer before the final conference meeting versus Mass. Maritime and the start of the postseason next week.
Worcester, MA- As the final week of the season hits the books, the Lancers (20-11, 11-7) take a step away from conference play to meet up with Saint Joseph (Conn.) for a nine inning battle to test their mettle before playoffs begin next week.
Worcester, MA- After another rainy weekend forced a shift in the schedule, the Lancers Baseball team (18-11, 9-7) returned to finish out the series with the Salem State vikings in the second to last conference series of the season.
Worcester, MA- As the final two weeks of the season hit the calendar the Worcester State Baseball team (18-10, 9-6) are aiming to claim the final two series and take a top spot moving into the conference post season. Their second to last test is Salem State with their single game on the road this afternoon against the Vikings (13-14, 8-7) in a crucial battle for positioning.
Worcester State University (Massachusetts) freshman outfielder Christopher Mondesir was a near unanimous selection after logging six extra-base hits, five of which were homers, in a week which saw him finish 11-for-18 at the plate (.618). Mondesir connected on a pair of grand slams, homered four times, and drove home 11 to set a single game record in a victory over Bridgewater State.
Worcester, MA- After a record setting week by the Worcester State Baseball team, the Lancers again had two selected as MASCAC weekly honorees. For the second time this season graduate student Ben Smith (Bourne, MA) was selected as MASCAC Pitcher of the Week while first year Christopher Mondesir (Roslindale, MA) was named MASCAC Rookie of the Week.
Worcester, MA- After half a game of action to wrap up an earlier outing from last week against Fitchburg the Lancers (17-9, 6-5) look to get right back down to business for their regularly scheduled doubleheader against the Falcons on the day. After a record breaking Saturday for Worcester that found them fall in the series to Bridgewater, they had their focus set on claiming the series versus the Falcons.
Worcester, MA- After a tough nine yesterday afternoon, the Lancers baseball team (15-8, 6-4) is back in action and looking to take the series versus the Bears (17-9, 8-2). The series victory is still crucial in determining the top speed in the postseason, so Worcester is extra motivated to come away claiming the series.
