WORCESTER, Mass. – For the first time ever, the Worcester State University women’s volleyball team has been crowned the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) tournament champions as the first seeded Lancers downed the fifth seeded Bridgewater State Bears by a score of 3-0 in the semifinal round, and then defeated the Framingham State Rams by a score of 3-1 in the championship round.
For the first time since 1986, the Worcester State Lancers claimed the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Regular Season Title and the top spot in the conference tournament. The Lancers host Bridgewater State on Saturday (Nov. 4) at 2:30pm in the MASCAC semifinal game. NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Worcester State University women’s volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Brandeis on Friday (Oct. 20), and then came back to win two matches against Smith and Bridgewater State on Saturday (Oct. 21) to go 2-1 at the Smith/Amherst Hall of Fame Invitational.
