Lancers Claim MASCAC Regular Season Champion Crown with Win over Anna Maria
Worcester, MA- The Lancers, looking to wrap up their #1 seed in the MASCAC Regular season championship, took a trip to Paxton to face the Anna Maria AMCATs. Women’s Soccer (8-7-1, 6-1) controlled their own fates coming into the game with a win providing them hosting rights through the conference tournament.

How it Happened:
The Lancers looking to snag the #1 seed for the MASCAC tournament would get the action going offensively as senior Erin Condon (East Bridgewater ,MA) would fire it past the Amcat goalkeeper to put the Lancers up 1-0. The Lancers would not stop the fireworks as they snagged a second goal as junior Jessica Forbes (Clinton ,MA) would give the Lancers the 2-0 lead. Worcester would play great defense as Anna Maria would have chances but the Blue and Gold were ready for the challenge as they would lead 2-0 at the half.
The second half was a defensive battle as both teams would struggle to find rhythm offensively. Junior Amanda Cosco (Watertown,MA) would get some shots on the net but could find the hole for the score. Worcester would rely on their defense in the second half and it would pay off as the Lancers would snag the win 2-0 and would be named MASCAC regular season champions.
Condon would snag a goal with 2 shots on goal with Forbes snagging a goal as well with a goal and an assist to lead the defense.

With the 1-seed in the tournament the Lancers will await the final of Wednesday's MASCAC quarterfinal games to determine their opponent for the MASCAC Semifinal match at Worcester on Friday at 6pm.
