Lancers Remain Undefeated in Conference, Downing Rams
Worcester, MA- After facing off versus Anna Maria last Saturday in their senior game the Lancers Women’s Lacrosse team 8-5, 3-0) was on the hunt to stay undefeated in conference as they matched up with the Framingham Rams in an Ovarian Cancer Awareness Game tribute game with the Rams.

How it Happened:
Worcester State began the game successfully when Senior Shannon Donahue (Dennis, MA) scored her first goal. Framingham State responded immediately to tie the game. The Lancers regained control of the game when Senior McKayla Fisher (Peabody, MA) scored two goals, and Donahue scored another goal to establish a 4-1 advantage. Framingham State completed an impressive run, which ended with them scoring four consecutive goals to achieve a 5-4 advantage after the quarter ended.
Worcester State began its second quarter performance with a Shannon Donahue game-tying goal through junior Meghan Bowen's (Westfield, MA) assist. Framingham State scored two rapid goals to take a 7-5 lead, which the Lancers canceled when junior Madigan Kelly (Bourne, MA) and Donahue scored to tie the score. Worcester State used its energy to finish the half and gain a 9-7 lead.
Worcester State extended its lead during the third quarter when first-year Fallon Lozano (Upton, MA) scored, and Madigan Kelly added two more goals, which included one that Meghan Bowen assisted. The Lancers established a 12-7 lead, which Framingham State ended by scoring a goal during the last moments of the game that brought the score to 12-8 at the start of the final quarter.
The Lancers maintained their lead throughout the fourth quarter thanks to junior Ari Dupuy (Middleboro, MA) and Lozano's goals for them, with another goal coming from a Senior Molly Witkowski (Greenville, NY) assist. The Rams scored two goals during the quarter, but the Lancers kept their lead and won the game 14-10.

Worcester State (9-5, 4-0) has just a day break before they journey to Mass. Maritime for a 7 pm conference meeting.
