6 Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll; Team Earns Academic Honor Squad

Worcester, MASS. – The IWLCA has named 290 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2022-23 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women’s lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. The Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse team was honored this year as one of the Division III Academic Honor Squads.

Westfield, MA — A total of 906 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s 2023 Winter/Spring All-Academic Team that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann.

Worcester, Mass.  – Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse wrapped up their season this evening as they squared up against Westfield State in the MASCAC Women’s Lacrosse semifinal. Graduate Student Clare Conway (Billerica, MA) and first year Mckayla Fisher (Peabody, MA) led the offensive attack for the Lancers as they battled in a rematch battle just over two weeks old. Worcester State’s season comes to a close with a 10-8 record.

Worcester, MA- The MASCAC Women’s Lacrosse playoffs started today as the fourth-seeded Lancers (9-8, 5-2) were matched against the fifth-seeded Salem State Vikings (6-10, 3-4) in the quarterfinal match. The winner of tonight's game would go on to play the undefeated Westfield State Owls on Thursday evening. This will be a rematch from April 21 where Worcester traveled to Salem and defeated the Vikings by a score of 19-5. Senior attacker Shea Jarvis (Auburn, MA) scored five goals in the contest while Vikings senior midfielder Mackenzie Shmink (Danvers, MA) had two goals.
