Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Field Hockey team had four selected to the 2024 Academic All-District At-Large Team. Seniors Grace Adams (Leominster, MA) and Zoe Athansopoulos (Hopedale, MA), junior Madison Avilla (Westport, MA) and sophomore Allison Keenan (Marlborough, MA) were selected to the team by the College Sports Communicators.
Westfield, MA — A total of 1,390 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s Fall/Winter 2023 All-Academic team that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – 58 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2023 Fall Sportsmanship Team.
GENEVA, N.Y. — This year over 190 Division III student-athletes have been named to NFHCA Division III All-Region teams sponsored by The LineUp. Division III teams are separated into six regions: Region I, Region II, Region III, Region IV, Region V, and Region VI. Each of these regions recognizes up to 16 student-athletes on both the first team and the second team.
Worcester, MA- Senior Grace Adams (Leominster, MA) leads the MASCAC in their inaugural end of season awards as Adams was named the 2023 MASCAC Offensive Player of the Year as voted on by the conference coaches at the end of the season. Five Lancers were named to the MASCAC First and Second Teams in their first year as a conference.
Worcester, MA. - - The Worcester State Field Hockey travelled to Williamstown, MA this evening to take on the host Williams College in the opening round of the NCAA tournament. After toppling Framingham State on Sunday afternoon 2-0, the Lancers were looking towards their first NCAA trip since 2019.
Worcester, MA- In the inaugural MASCAC Field Hockey Championship, the Worcester State Lancers claimed a 2-0 victory over Framingham State. Named the Championship MVP was first year Maddie Parker (Leominster, MA) after an incredible defensive save would keep the score at 0-0 in the third quarter. Parker, in recognition of her defensive prowess was named this week’s MASCAC Defensive and Rookie of the week alongside junior Natalya Morin (Barre, MA) who knocked in both game winning goals in the Lancers two post season competitions.
Worcester, MA- The #1 Worcester State Lancers faced off against the #3 Framingham State Rams in the inaugural MASCAC field hockey championship on John F. Coughlin Memorial Field. Worcester State claimed the season advantage on the Rams with two wins against them in the regular season.
Worcester, MA- The #1 Seed Lancers Field Hockey and #4 Seed Vikings looked to continue their history-making seasons on Friday night on John F. Coughlin Field. Worcester State has claimed the previous two meetings between the teams this season, the first a 3-2 overtime victory in Salem, and the most recent, this past Monday, saw them claim the 3-0 victory on Coughlin.

The Worcester State Lancers (10-6, 8-1 MASCAC) faced off against the Salem State Vikings (6-9, 4-5 MASCAC) in a crucial conference matchup with the Lancers playing to secure the one seed in the playoffs. Worcester, MA - The Worcester State Lancers traveled to Framingham to play the Rams in a rematch battle against another top 4 team in the MASCAC. This game is crucial for overall seeding and if the Lancers win the evenings match they would claim a piece of the regular season championship and a possible number one seed heading into the postseason. The penultimate game before homecoming looked to be a captivating match with high stakes for the Lancers.
Worcester, MA- After 7 days off from their last game and conference win, the Worcester State field hockey team traveled to Fitchburg State for a rematch with their conference rival on the Falcons senior day. Worcester State won the previous matchup, 5-1, in a game that honored senior Sam Gastonguay’s (Ashburnham, MA) legacy in both communities.

The last two games for the field hockey team have seen overtime period action and both have had a scoreline that reads 3-2 in favor of Worcester State. Today's game had a scheduled 7 pm start time to see if Worcester could grab two wins in the regular season over the Owls.
