Last season saw the Lancers play UMass tight, and with the experience of this last weekend, Worcester is aiming for their first win of the season.

How it Happened:
After a tough first set, the Lancers settled in and began to find their rhythm. Worcester jumped out to an early lead in the second frame before the Corsairs put together a late run to edge ahead, 25-15.
The third set was Worcester's best of the night, featuring six ties and long rallies as the Lancers pushed the undefeated Corsairs to the wire. Worcester held a late advantage before UMass Dartmouth narrowly closed out the frame, 25-22.
Senior Cassandra Millea (Orange, Ct) led the attack with 5 kills while adding 7 digs while first year Reece Connors Fresno, CA) contributed across the board with 4 kills, 6 assists, and 6 digs. First year Maggie Luke (Chelmsford, MA) anchored the defense with 15 digs and chipped in 8 assists.
What's Next
Worcester State (0-5 ,0-0) returns to double day action on Saturday with a trip to Eastern Connecticut to take on Eastern Connecticut and Bay Path in a tri match. The first match is currently set for 12pm start.
