Westfield, MA — A total of 1,610 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s Fall/Winter 2024 All-Academic team that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Volleyball has had a repeat named to the College Sports Communicator Academic 2024 All-District Volleyball Team. Senior Angela Colonis (Waterford, CT) was selected by the CSC for this year's team. Colonis repeats with the honor after being selected to last year's team.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – 60 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2024 Fall Sportsmanship Team.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Volleyball team has two selected to this year’s MASCAC All-Conference teams as voted on by the conference coaches. Repeating on the MASCAC First team was senior Angela Colonis (Waterford, CT) while new addition first year Katherine Crateau (North Andover, MA) would claim second team recognition.
Worcester, MA- After an exciting end to the season that saw Worcester State Volleyball (9-18, 4-3) fall in their regular season finale to MCLA, before claiming the #5/#4 seed victory over them just a few days later, the lancers are now headed back to Westfield to face a common postseason foe. Two seasons ago Worcester fell in the MASCAC Championship to Westfield and earlier this year the Owls claimed a three set victory over the Blue and Gold, two outcomes the Lancers aim to avenge tonight.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Volleyball team (8-18, 4-3) begins their MASCAC Postseason run this evening as they make the return trip to MCLA. This past Saturday #5 seeded, Worcester dropped a five set battle to #4 seeded MCLA, but looked to avenge their loss this evening, as well as a MASCAC semifinals loss last year to the Trailblazers to see themselves back in the semifinals on Thursday.
Worcester, MA- In the final match of the 2024 season, the Worcester State Lancers (8-17, 4-2) aim to solidify their third seed in the postseason with a win today at MCLA. Last season the Lancers concluded their season with a win versus MCLA before dropping a semifinal match to them a few days later, which is already a precursor to the importance of today’s match.
Worcester, MA- In the second to last match of the season the Worcester State Volleyball team (8-16, 4-2) makes the trip north to battle it out with Keene State in a non-conference meeting between the Owls and Lancers.
Worcester, MA- As we get down to the final two weeks of the regular season, the Worcester State Volleyball team (8-15, 4-1) journeys to Westfield State tonight in their rescheduled meeting with the Owls. This game can have pivotal outcomes for postseason seeding, and will lend itself to a high intensity and aggressive game between both squads as each looks for the chance to be one of the top seeds in the conference.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Volleyball team (7-15, 3-1) host their final home match of the season when they took on Framingham State for the second time this season. The previous meeting was an out-of-conference affair at the start of the season that saw the Lancers come away with the 3-1 victory. This match, while not only be their conference meeting, will also serve as the teams senior night which will honor #9 Angela Colonis (Waterford, CT) and #14 Megan Bardis (Sterling, MA) for their stellar careers with the Lancers.
Worcester, MA- After nearly a week away from action the Worcester State Volleyball team (6-15, 2-1) is back in conference action tonight as they play host to Mass. Maritime Academy on Brissette Court. The Lancers are looking to work on solidifying their seeding for the post season early in conference action by grabbing another win tonight.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Volleyball team (6-14, 2-0) looks to continue their conference success tonight as they welcome Bridgewater State for not only their Rosen Cancer Awareness Pink Out Game and Lancer Game, but also their first home conference match of the season. The Lancers are primed to remain undefeated in conference action and add another win to their column in today’s hyped up meeting.
Worcester, MA- After a hard fought match last night, the Worcester State Volleyball team (5-14, 1-0) jumps right back into action tonight as they head to Fitchburg State to take on the Falcons in their second conference game of the season. Colonis, who is now just six digs away from her career 1000th, aims to cross the threshold tonight as she helps to push her team to their second conference victory.
Worcester, MA- After a brief break in action the Worcester State Volleyball team (5-13, 1-0) returns to action in a local road trip to square up with Clark University tonight. The Lancers are not only on a quest to win number six on the season but senior Angela Colonis (Waterford, CT) is on the hunt for her career 1000th dig. With the start of tonight’s match Colonis was just nine digs away from breaking the career mark.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Volleyball team (5-11, 1-0), fresh off a conference opening victory over Salem State, return to double day action as they head to Trinity College to face off with Trinity and Nichols. The non-conference action is the first two of three matches that break up the Lancers MASCAC slate and prepare them for a grueling end of season conference schedule. Worcester aims to double sweep the day and add two more wins to their tally.
Worcester, MA- After an exciting week and weekend of non conference action to prime the path, the Worcester State Women’s Volleyball team (4-11, 0-0) is kicking off conference action this evening as they journey to Salem State to take on the Vikings.
