FITCHBURG, Mass. – Worcester State boasted individual winners in three events on Saturday afternoon in another strong team performance at the Jim Sheehan Invitational, hosted by Fitchburg State University.
DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Senior Riley Sanderson (Leominster, Mass.) took first place in the javelin with a final throw of 36.38 meters to help Worcester State women’s track and field to a sixth-place finish on Saturday at the Corsair Classic.
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Avonia Herbert (Sharon, Mass.) topped the field with a final triple jump of 10.58 meters, and was part of a Worcester State women’s track and field team that took second in the women’s 4x100 meter relay as the Lancers began their season on Saturday at the Bridgewater State Bears Invitational.
16 student-athletes from around the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference have earned All-Region accolades from the U.S. Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as announced by the organization.
