FITCHBURG, Mass. – Worcester State boasted individual winners in three events on Saturday afternoon in another strong team performance at the Jim Sheehan Invitational, hosted by Fitchburg State University.

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Senior Riley Sanderson (Leominster, Mass.) took first place in the javelin with a final throw of 36.38 meters to help Worcester State women’s track and field to a sixth-place finish on Saturday at the Corsair Classic.

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Avonia Herbert (Sharon, Mass.) topped the field with a final triple jump of 10.58 meters, and was part of a Worcester State women’s track and field team that took second in the women’s 4x100 meter relay as the Lancers began their season on Saturday at the Bridgewater State Bears Invitational.
