Agustsdottir Named MASCAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State’s rookie Asgerdur Jana Agustsdottir (Akureyi, Iceland) has been tabbed the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women’s outdoor track & field rookie of the week, as announced by the league Monday (Apr. 9) afternoon.

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State's rookie Asgerdur Jana Agustsdottir (Akureyi, Iceland) has been tabbed the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's outdoor track & field rookie of the week, as announced by the league Monday (Apr. 9) afternoon.

 

Agustsdottir logged a first place finish in the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 16.29 this past weekend at the AIC Yellow Jacket Invitational to qualify for Division III New England's in the event. She also competed in the long jump (seventh place – 5.08m/16' 8") and 200 meter dash (14th place - 27.69) at the meet.

 

The women's outdoor track & field team will travel to Westfield State this upcoming Saturday for the Jerry Gravel Classic.
