New Orleans, LA --- Senior Christy Deininger along with junior teammates Brittany Hodgerney and Alyssa Jasper have been honored with US Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic certificates for their outstanding efforts on the track and in the classroom.
Westfield, MA --- Senior classmates Ali Barrett and Christy Deininger led 30 honorees from the women's track and field team who were selected to the MASCAC All-Academic team as announced by league publicist Emily Diekelmann.
Worcester, MA --- Senior Christy Deininger and junior Alyssa Jasper have both been tabbed to the Capital One Academic District I Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (Co-SIDA). Both student-athletes move on to the national ballot for Academic All-American consideration.
Delaware, OH --- Senior Christy Deininger placed fifth overall in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.24 to earn All-American accolades on the final day of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan at Selby Stadium.
Delaware, OH --- Junior Alyssa Jasper collected 4,714 points and finished with All-American accolades for eighth place in the heptathlon to help pace the Worcester State women’s track and field team on the second day at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.
Worcester, MA --- Junior Alyssa Jasper and senior Christy Deininger have both been chosen to participate in this week’s NCAA Division III Track & Field Outdoor Championships as announced by the selection committee on Sunday morning.
Troy, NY --- Senior Christy Deininger shattered her own school record and recorded a top finish in the 100 meter hurdles (14.08) with the best time in the NCAA Division III as she helped pace the women's track and field team to 18th at the ECAC Division III Championships hosted by RPI.
Westfield, MA --- Senior Christy Deininger claimed Open New England honors with third overall in the 100 meter hurdles (14.44) as she helped lead Worcester State to 30th place at the New England Championships this afternoon hosted by Westfield State.
Centerville, MA --- Junior Alyssa Jasper has been distinguished with Corvais ECAC Division III New England Field Athlete of the Week accolades after a standout performance at the Division III New England Championships hosted by Springfield this past weekend.
Springfield, MA --- Highlighted by Alyssa Jasper and Christy Deininger, eight WSU student-athletes and two relay teams earned All-New England honors as the Worcester State women's placed sixth at the Division III New England Championships. Sophomore Dalena Le and senior Megan Taylor had great performances in the 400 meter hurdles.
N. Dartmouth, MA --- Senior Christy Deininger placed first in the 100 meter hurdles and junior Alyssa Jasper won the javelin as they both helped lead Worcester State to second place at the MASCAC Championships this afternoon at UMass Dartmouth.
Springfield, MA --- Sophomore Emily Riehl and senior Megan Taylor helped underscore seven first place finishes for Worcester State as the Lancers won the Springfield College Invitational this afternoon.
Middletown, MA --- Senior Christy Deininger won the 100 meters (12.59) and the 100 meter hurdles (14.76) as she helped pace the Worcester State women’s outdoor track and field team at the non-scoring Wesleyan Invitational.
N. Dartmouth, MA --- Senior Christy Deininger helped pace Worcester State to three first place finishes as the Lancers ended the meet with second overall at the UMD Invitational. Junior Brittany Hodgerney also helped lead the 4x100 meter relay team and she qualified for the Division III New Enlgands in the 200.
Medford, MA --- Senior Christy Deininger and junior Alyssa Jasper both had outstanding finishes in their respective events to help pace the Worcester State women's outdoor track and field team to third overall at the Tufts Snowflake Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Bridgewater, MA --- Junior Alyssa Jasper heaved the best throw in the javelin and placed fourth in the long jump as she helped pace the women’s outdoor track and field team at the non-scoring BSU Invitational. For her efforts she was named the inagural MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week of the season.
