2011-12 Women's Indoor Track Headlines
Grinnell, IA --- Junior Briana Wise clocked a time of 7.81 for 12th place in the 60 meter dash as she wrapped up a tremendous indoor track and field season at the NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Championships held at Grinnell College.
New Orleans, LA --- Mat Lemaire has been selected by his peers as the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) New England Women’s Coach of the Year for helping to guide the Lancers to an outstanding showing during the 2011-12 indoor track postseason.
New York, NY --- Junior Briana Wise and sophomore Christy Deininger combined for 29 of Worcester State’s 31 points at the ECAC Division III Championships to help the Lancers finish in ninth place out of 56 teams this afternoon at the NYC Armory.
New York, NY --- The all-freshman 4x200 meter relay team of Liz Bodensieck, Brittany Hodgerney, Alexandria McMahon and Alyssa Jasper helped pace the women's indoor track and field team on the first day at the ECAC Division III Championships at the NYC Armory.
Boston, MA --- Junior Briana Wise and sophomore Christy Deiniger earned Open New England accolades as they both helped lead Worcester State to a finish at 18th at the NEICAAA Championships hosted by Boston University.
Northhampthon, MA --- Junior Briana Wise captured individual titles in the 60 meters (7.78) and 200 (25.18) meters to help lead Worcester State to sixth place at the Division III New England Championships held at Smith College.
Northampton, MA --- Freshman Alyssa Jasper just missed All-New England Division III honors with a finish of ninth place in the indoor pentathlon as she scored 2,920 points on the first day of the championships hosted by Smith.
Buzzards Bay, MA --- Junior Briana Wise and sophomore Hannah Werneth both copped a pair of MASCAC Weekly honors for helping lead Worcester State to their third-consecutive conference title this past weekend.
Gorham, ME --- Junior Briana Wise helped Worcester State capture three Alliance titles and set meet records as she helped the Lancers earn their third-straight MASCAC Indoor Championship this evening at Southern Maine.
Medford, MA --- Sophomore Christy Deininger and junior Briana Wise along with the 4x200 meter relay squad broke three school records this afternoon to help the Lancers place second at the Tufts Stampede Invitational.

Cambridge, MA --- Junior Briana Wise clocked a the top time in the 55 meters to establish a new school record (7.30) as she highlighted a stellar day at the MIT Co-Ed Invitational. Sophomore Hannah Werneth and junior Erin Donohue also eclipsed school marks for WSU.
Boston, MA --- Junior Briana Wise has eclipsed her previous school mark in the 200 meters and the distance medley relay established a new record as they helped pace the women's indoor track and field team at the Boston University Terrier Invitational.
Buzzards Bay, MA --- Junior Briana Wise and senior Mara Kralian have been named MASCAC Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their performances this past weekend at the University of New Hampshire Invitational. Both were instrumental in the squad’s fourth-place finish that featured Division I and II competition.
Durham, NH --- Junior Briana Wise placed second in both the 55 meter dash (7.33) and 200 meter dash (26.17) while senior Mara Kralian won the long jump (5.21m/17-01.25) as they helped lead the Worcester State women's indoor track & field team to a fourth-place finish at the UNH Invitational this afternoon.
Medford, MA --- Junior Briana Wise and sophomore Christy Deininger both reset school records on Saturday afternoon at the Tufts Invitational. For their efforts, Wise and first-year Amanda Caldarone were both named MASCAC Track & Field Athletes of the Week.
