2016 Little East Conference Women’s Tennis Tournament

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University women's tennis team takes the No. 5 seed in the Little East Conference (LEC) women's tennis tournament as announced by the conference on Saturday (Oct. 15).

The Lancers concluded their regular season at 6-6 and came in tied with UMass Boston at 4-4 in the conference. However they earned the No. 5 spot as they held the tiebreaker over UMass Boston, defeating the Beacons 8-1 on Sept. 17.

The Lancers begin tournament play on Tuesday (Oct. 18) when they travel to Plymouth State for a 3:00 p.m. quarterfinal match.

No. 1 Seed - Bridgewater State (7-1)

No. 2 Seed - Rhode Island College (7-1)

No. 3 Seed - UMass Dartmouth (6-2)

No. 4 Seed - Plymouth State (5-3)

No. 5 Seed - Worcester State (4-4)

No. 6 Seed - UMass Boston (4-4)
