How it Happened:
Deja Vu would be the headline for the first half as both the Lancers and Owls would be aggressive defensively to kick off the contest, a clear flashback to last year's meeting in Keene between the two programs. Worcester State would have some set ups across the middle of the net but would be met by the Owls defense to break up the chances. The same story would occur for the Owls as they would have some opportunities across the middle for the score but the Lancers defense would answer the challenge. The Blue and Gold would fire seven shots while Keene would fire four shots in the scoreless first half.
Deja Vu would repeat the headline for the second half as both the Lancers and Owls would be aggressive defensively once again. Junior Ava Lemanski (Clinton, MA) and Junior Olivia Majorowski (Brimfield, MA) would have opportunities through the box but would be stifled by the Owls Defense. Led by junior Ella Gumienny (Douglas MA) would hold off the late surge by the Owls, causing it once again to be a scoreless tie once again between the two programs. The lancers would end the game with a shot lead of 17-10 of the course of the night.
Gumienny would anchor down the net making five saves in the action.
