Worcester State Women's Soccer Picked Third in MASCAC Preseason Coaches Poll
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Soccer team has been selected third in the MASCAC Preseason coaches’ poll as voted on by the conference coaches. The Lancers finished the season 9-6-3 last season, falling to Westfield State in the semifinals, as they aim to find themselves in the MASCAC Championship this season.

The Lancers finished the season 9-6-3 last season, falling to Westfield State in the semifinals, as they aim to find themselves in the MASCAC Championship this season.
Grabbing the top spot in the poll was Bridgewater State with 62 points and six first place votes, edging out Westfield State, who finished with two first place votes and 58 total points.
Worcester, claiming the final first place vote, tallied 50 points. The Lancers were 4-2-1 during the 2024 conference slate. Between the pipes, Ella Gumienny earned All-Conference honors after she stopped 110 shots with 1.14 goals against average, .846 save percentage and 10 shutouts.
In fourth finds Fitchburg State with 43 points, ahead of fifth place Salem State with 34 points. Framingham State claimed sixth with 31 points while Mass Maritime, with 19, MCLA with 15, and Anna Maria, at 12 points, wrapped up the coaches voting.
The MASCAC women's soccer teams will start the 2025 campaign Labor Day weekend with non-conference play. Follow the action on mascac.com and mascac.tv.
