Fong Earns Third MASCAC Rookie of the Week Award

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University's freshman midfielder Maddie Fong (Norton, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's soccer rookie of the week, as announced by the league on Monday (Nov. 6).

Fong recorded a goal and an assist during the MASCAC tournament. She tallied the game-winner in the 1-0 shutout over Salem State in the semifinals and assisted on the Lancers' lone goal in the 2-1 championship setback to Westfield State.

Fong finished the 2017 campaign atop the MASCAC in assists with 10 total on the season.
