Women's Soccer Stops Westfield, 2-0
Westfield, MA --- Worcester State scored two goals in the opening eight minutes in posting a big 2-0 road victory over Westfield State in a key MASCAC.

Westfield, MA --- Worcester State scored two goals in the
opening eight minutes in posting a big 2-0 road victory over
Westfield State in a key Mass. State Conference game.
It was Westfield's first conference loss and snapped its nine-game
winning streak. The Owls are now 10-4 overall and 4-1 in the
conference. The Lancers improved to 7-5-1 and 3-2.
Senior forward Katelyn Bonetti (Plymouth, MA)
scored 4:49 into the game with an assist from freshman
Danielle Cllifford (Attleboro, MA). Freshman Nikki
Scott (Berlin, MA) tacked on an unassisted goal three minutes
later.
Westfield State out-shot Worcester State, 12-8, including a 6-3
margin in the second half. Lancer goalie Rachael
Armenti (West Boylston, MA) recorded eight saves.
Both team's will play non-conference opponents on Tuesday. WSC will host Johnson and Wales at 7 PM while the Owls will travel to Rhode Island College for a 4 o'clock kickoff.
