Lancers Claim Top Spot in MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll

Worcester, MA- After claiming their first-ever tournament title, Worcester State looks to repeat as the 2026 MASCAC Women’s Lacrosse Champions as voted on by the coaches around the league.
The Lancers earned six first place votes to sit in the top spot of this year’s poll. They were 5-1 in league action last season and bring back All-Conference honoree Mckayla Fisher who finished with 35 goals and nine assists for 57 points, 66 ground balls, 96 draw controls and 31 caused turnovers.
Behind Worcester is Framingham State with 40 points and two first place votes, Westfield State with 39 points and Bridgewater with 33 points. Tied in a three-way tie for fifth is Fitchburg State, Massachusetts maritime and Salem State with 19 points. Rounding out the voting is new addition Anna Maria with seven points.
The MASCAC women’s lacrosse teams begin the 2026 campaign over the next few weeks with non-conference action while conference play begins on March 28.
