Through the first half of the season, Jennarae Bateman has put up eight points including the deciding goal of the Lancers victory this past Tuesday night. A native of Forest Lake, Minn., she has come halfway across the country to join the first ever freshman class in Worcester State Women?s Hockey history. While Bateman is currently putting together a fine season on a solid squad, WSU was hardly on her radar throughout the recruitment process. But the risk of joining a new program seems to be paying off for the young forward in more ways than one.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey team headed to Southern ME Saturday afternoon looking for the first win of 2023, after dropping a thriller last night versus nationally ranked Utica College in OT. The extra minutes of play seem to have had a minimal effect on the Lancers, as they started strong jumping out to an early lead and holding on to claim the 6-3 victory.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women?s Ice Hockey team had two named ECHA Player of the Week after a double win week that saw them come away with a 3-1 win over Salem St and grab an additional 5-1 victory over Nichols College on the week. The Lancers closed out 2022 with dominant victories over the Bison, their second matchup and victory over their opponents this season and the Vikings.
Worcester, MA - The Lancers were back in action at home vs Nichols College in their final game of 2022. Senior Forward Katie Puumala (Framingham, MA) was the star of the night as Worcester capped off 2022 with a victory over the Bison.

Worcester, MA- Following a tough 4-1 home loss on Friday night at the hands of the Salve Regina Seahawks, the Worcester State women’s ice hockey team traveled to Salve’s home ice with their sights set on getting revenge just a couple days later.
