Adamuska and Maloney Named MASCAC Player and Pitcher of the Week
Worcester, MA- After a thrilling 5-1 week for the Worcester State Softball team, the Lancers had two named MASCAC Players of the week. Senior Amanda Adamuska (Dudley, MA) was named Player of the Week while junior Peyton Maloney (West Boylston, MA) was named Pitcher of the Week.
Worcester, MA- After a thrilling 5-1 week for the Worcester State Softball team, the Lancers had two named MASCAC Players of the week. Senior Amanda Adamuska (Dudley, MA) was named Player of the Week while junior Peyton Maloney (West Boylston, MA) was named Pitcher of the Week.
Adamuska batted .421 (8-19) with a double, four RBI, four walks, three stolen bases and three runs scored in a 5-1 week for the Lancers. Went 3-for-7 with a RBI and stolen base in the doubleheader split with Clark. Went 4-for-7 with a double, RBI, walk and run scored in the doubleheader sweep of Salem State. Had 39 putouts for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage on the week. On the season Adamuska has recorded 21 hits with 12 RBIs and eight runs with five stolen bases.
Maloney went 1-0 with two saves, 0.58 ERA, f ive hits and 16 strikeouts over four appearances in a 4-0 week for the Lancers. Went the distance, only allowing four hits and one run with seven strikeouts in the 2-1 win over Salem State. Got the save with six strikeouts in the 4-2 win over Clark and another save in the second game of the doubleheader win over Emmanuel. On the season Maloney has recorded two saves, 27 earned runs and 41 strikeouts.
Worcester State Softball is back in action tomorrow as they take on conference rival Framingham State with double header action starting at 4pm.
