Lancers Test Course at James Earley Invitational
Worcester, MA- After a few weeks of training the Worcester State Men’s Cross Country headed to Westfield State today to compete in the James Earley invite in a precursor training match for the MASCAC Championship. The Lancers were led by first year Ryan Wing (Barre, MA) who finished in 47th place to help Worcester to 299 points. The Worcester State men’s cross country team turned in a solid effort at Saturday’s invitational, finishing 12th overall.

The Lancers were led by first year Ryan Wing (Barre, MA) who finished in 47th place to help Worcester to 299 points. The Worcester State men's cross country team turned in a solid effort at Saturday's invitational, finishing 12th overall.
Wing crossed in a time of 28:32.13,who once again paced Worcester with a strong, consistent run through the rolling course. Liam Dietz would cross in 60th in a time of 28:51.57 and graduate student Alexander Lucier (Gardner, MA) would cross in 29:09.26 followed closely behind, providing crucial depth in the middle of the pack.
Rounding out the scoring for Worcester was sophomore Daniel Smith (Medway, MA) in 81st with a time of 29:49.19 and sophomore Taku Pettengill (Shirley, MA) in 82nd with a recorded time of 29:50.82, finishing within seconds of each other to secure the team's 12th-place finish.
Worcester State is back in action on October 18th with a trip to Western New England in their final race before the championship.
