Lancers Men's Cross Country Claim Sixth in MASCAC Preseason Poll
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Cross-Country team has claimed sixth in the MASCAC Preseason Poll as voted on by the conference coaches. Worcester State finished last season finishing fifth in the conference standings at the MASCAC Championship. The lancers hit the course this weekend as they begin their training to take home the championship this season.

Claiming the top spot is Bridgewater State with 24 points and four first place votes, just edging out Westfield State at 22 points and two first place votes. Framingham State and Fitchburg State claimed third and fourth with 16 and 13 points. Mass. Maritime took home fifth with nine points.
Rounding out this year's preseason poll is Worcester State in sixth with eight points. During the 2024 MASCAC meet, Kelan Mahoney was the top finisher for the Lancers, coming in 22nd place with an 8k time of 28:39.
Over the next few weeks, the six MASCAC men's cross-country teams will begin their season culminating with the MASCAC Championship on November 1 hosted by Westfield State.
