Highlights From the Harvard Invitational
Boston, MA --- Sophomore teammates Nate Starling and Ian Fields each had stellar performances to help lead the mens indoor track and field team at the Harvard Open. The meet featured competition from Divisions I, II and III along with several local community colleges and club teams.

(Shrewsbury, MA) each had stellar performances to help lead the
men’s indoor track and field team at the Harvard Open. The
meet featured competition from Divisions I, II and III along with
several local community colleges and club teams.
Starling ran a blistering 7.12 in the 60 meter dash preliminaries
as he finished the meet in 10th with a time of 7.20. Fields
qualified for the New England Regional’s as he placed seventh
in the high jump (1.90m) with the best divisional height in
Division III.
Freshman Jon Parrella (Wilmington, MA) nearly
broke the school record in the 500 with a time of 1:09.06 while
senior Matt Leeds (Bellingham, MA) recorded eighth
(6.62m) and 11th (12.54m) in the long and triple jump,
respectively.
Sophomore Nick Capone (Billerica, MA) threw a
distance of 17th in the shot put (12.37m) while classmate Brett
Pronovost (N. Andover, MA) and freshman Sebastian
Bilenschuk (Mansfield, MA) finished in 28th (10.38m) and
29th (10.36m) in the weight throw.
In the distance events, freshmen teammates Tim
Mazeika (Millbury, MA) and Alex Droby
(Uxbridge, MA) each notched 35th (2:05.95) and 36th (2:06.60),
respectively, in the 800, while junior Justin Hunt
(Rutland, MA) ran a time of 4:50.43 in the mile.
The Lancers will compete again next semester at Tufts on January
16.
