Highlights from Smith Invitational
Northampton, MA --- The Men's Indoor Track-Field team competeted at the Smith Invitational this past weekend. Senior Mark Johnson qualified for the New England Regionals in three events while freshman Ian Fields made the mark in the high jump.
Boston, MA --- The Worcester State Men’s Track and Field team got off to an excellent start at the Smith Winter Classic. A number of solid veteran performances along with strong first time collegiate efforts by the freshmen and several other newcomers, made for an exciting day of track and field for the Lancers in this non scoring team competition.
Worcester State’s men set several personal bests in just the first meet of the season and also produced several qualifiers for the Division 3 New England Championships later this indoor season as well as several others just shy of the qualifying mark in their events.
