Worcester State Men's Soccer Tabbed Sixth in MASCAC Preseason Poll
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Soccer team was selected sixth in the MASCAC preseason coaches’ poll as voted on by the conference coaches. The Lancers, who finished 4-10-3 last season finished the season with a tough MASCAC quarterfinal loss to Salem State.

The Vikings were selected as this season's top finishers, receiving four first place votes and a total of 61 points. Bridgewater State sits in second with 59 points, and their own four first place votes with Westfield State claiming the last first place vote and 53 points.
Fitchburg State finished fourth with 40 points, ahead of conference newcomers Anna Maria, who ended with 35 points.
Worcester State would settle into sixth with 27 points. The Lancers were 2-2-3 in MASCAC play last year and return Brendan Lower on defense who helped the squad hold opponents to a 1.94 GAA and three shutouts last season.
Framingham State claimed seventh with 19 points just a point ahead of MCLA in eight with 18 points and Mass. Maritime in ninth with 12 points.
