Worcester, MA- The Lancers made the second trip back to Westfield this season in a 3 vs 6 battle in the conference tournament. The last time the Lancers headed to the Owls, they were down early but nearly settled the score before the final horn falling 6-4.

How it Happened:
It was a hard fought match between the Owls of Westfield State and Worcester State in the rematch meeting and in the opening 45 minutes the game would find itself scoreless. Westfield would carry a majority of the momentum in the game outshooting Worcester State 14-1, but junior Tobias Schneider (Hudson, WI) and the defense would manage to keep the Owls off the board.
The second half would find the Lancers still fighting with determination for the upset but Westfield would manage to find an opening four three goals in a 30 minute span during their concerted attack. Worcester would step up their own offensive game and look for the late surge of their last meeting but the Owls were prepared for the shift and held off the Lancers for the 3-0 victory.
