Bryan Brasil Tabbed ECAC Men’s Soccer Division III New England Rookie of the Year

WORCESTER, Mass. – After being named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Year, freshman forward Bryan Brasil (Williamsburg, Mass.) was tabbed the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Year for his striking performance in his debut season with the Worcester State University Lancers.

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.- The Framingham State University men’s soccer team used a penalty kick in the 77th minute to send the Rams over Worcester State 1-0 and into the championship game of the 2015 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Sunday, November 8th.

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Worcester State University’s freshman forward, Bryan Brasil, has been tabbed as the 2015 MASCAC Rookie of the Year after a first-year with the Lancers that saw the Williamsburg, Mass. native tally the second most assists in the league (5) and third most goals (10) and points (25).

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Worcester State’s Andre Ipojuca (Saugus, Mass.) knocked home a sudden death penalty kick advancing the sixth seeded Lancers past the third seeded MCLA Trailblazers in the quarterfinal round of the MASCAC Men’s Soccer championships in an entertaining game played at Shewcraft Field. The contest ended in a 1-1 draw; however the Lancers will advance by virtue of winning the PK’s 6-5. They will move on to the semifinal round where they will face second seeded Framingham State on Friday.

Brasil’s Hat-Trick Helps Lead the Lancers Past the Gators

WORCESTER, Mass.—The Worcester State Lancers blanked the Gators of Pine Manor at John F. Coughlin Memorial Field on their way to a 4-0 win. Freshman forward Bryan Brasil (Williamsburg, Mass) led the charge with three goals. Jason Barrett (Spencer, Mass) and Tim Schmidt (Southwick, Mass) combined for the shutout as the Lancers improved to 5-8-1 on the season. The Gator’s loss made them fall to 9-6-1 on the season.

Men’s Soccer Comes up Short in 2-1 Loss against Westfield State

WESTFIELD, Mass. – After surrendering a goal in the second minute of play, Westfield State scored two unanswered goals in the first half, defeating Worcester State, 2-1, in MASCAC league play at Alumni Field on Saturday.

Lancers Storm Back from Two Goal Deficit and Take Overtime Victory

WORCESTER, Mass. - Worcester State showed true character with their come from behind 3-2 overtime victory over the MCLA Trailblazers. Bryan Brasil (Williamsburg, Mass.) led the comeback with two clutch goals, including the overtime winner to bring the Lancers to a 4-6-1 overall record, and 2-2-0 in MASCAC. The Trailblazers fell to 3-5-2 overall and 1-3-0 in MASCAC.

WORCESTER, Mass.—The Lancers took out their frustration and ended their five game skid with a decisive 7-0 win over the Becker Hawks at John F. Coughlin Memorial Field Tuesday afternoon. FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - The Framingham State University men’s soccer team defeated visiting Worcester State 3-0 in MASCAC action Saturday afternoon at Maple St. Field. With the victory the Rams move to 3-5 and 2-0 in the league and the Lancers fall to 1-5-1 and 0-2 in conference play.
