Men's Golf Competes at the MASCAC Championship
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State men’s golf team wrapped up its conference championship with a seventh-place finish at the 2025 MASCAC Golf Championship, held at Blissful Meadows Golf Club in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. The Lancers posted a two-day team score of +130 to close out the conference championship against a competitive field.

The Lancers posted a two-day team score of +130 to close out the conference championship against a competitive field.
Leading the way for Worcester State was senior Jonny Gastonguay (Ashburnham, MA), who carded rounds of 88 and 83 to finish at +27. Junior Jon Wasserman (Salem, MA) followed closely behind with a two-round total of +32 after scores of 89 and 87.
Junior Nolan Finan (Vernon, CT) turned in consistent play with rounds of 88 and 91 for a +35 finish, while junior Zach Hurley(Feeding Hills, MA) bounced back on day two, shaving four strokes off his opening round with a 92–88 (+36) performance. Rounding out the lineup, senior Cam Verna (Natick, MA) posted scores of 93 and 91 to finish at +40.
The Lancers battled through tough conditions on the course and gained valuable championship experience to build upon heading into the rest of the season.
Worcester State is back on the course this Tuesday at the Brett Williamson Invitational hosted by Westfield State.
