Men’s Golf Tied for 11th After Round One of JWU Invitational

CRANSTON, R.I. - The Worcester State University men's golf team is tied for 11th place after round one of the Wildcat Spring Invitational, played Saturday at Cranston Country Club.

Freshman Brodie Coughlin (North Brookfield, Mass.) and sophomore Mark Clemente (Holden, Mass.) paced the Lancers by shooting identical scores of 79. Freshman Jake Poitras (Harwich, Mass.) and junior Connor Anderson (Raynham, Mass.) finishes close behind, as each carded an 80 on the round. Mike Manning (Bridgewater, Mass.) rounded out the scores with a 94.

With a score of 297, Amherst College holds a four-shot lead headed into round two, which will be played Sunday at Cranston Country Club.
