Men's Golf Places 13th At Johnson & Wales Invitational

Cranston, RI --- Junior classmates Jackson Davis (Spencer, MA) and David Rixham (Northbridge, MA) both placed in the top 35 to help pace Worcester State to 13th place in the final round at the Johnson & Wales Spring Invitational this afternoon at the par 71 Cranston Country Club.

As a team the Lancers scored 678 strokes, just 26 out of the top 10 squads.

Davis finished the two-day touranment tied for 31st with a 161 followed by Rixham who tied for 34th (163). Junior Bryan Dunham (Tolland, CT) equaled 47th (167) while freshman Pat Miller (Auburn, MA) placed 75 (211).

Freshman Steven Ferraro (Boylston, MA) who withdrew his score in the opening round, fired an 82 in the second to tie Davis and Dunham for the best card of the afternoon.

The Blue and Gold return to action on Monday at the Assumption Invitational which will be held at Heritage Country Club.
