Men's Golf Places 18th At Williams Invitational

Williamstown, MA --- Sophomore Joe Belanger tied for 74th place with a two day score of 168 (+26) to help lead Worcester State to 18th place at the Williams Invitational this weekend at the par 71 Taconic Golf Club. Junior Chris Ellis was also one stroke behind in a tie for 76th (169; +27).

Williamstown, MA --- Sophomore Joe Belanger (Holden, MA) tied for 74th place with a two day score of 168 (+26) to help lead Worcester State to 18th place at the two-day Williams Invitational this weekend at the par 71 Taconic Golf Club.

The Lancers shot a team total of 696 and 349, just two strokes higher than they did yesterday.

Right behind Belanger was sophomore Chris Ellis (Charlton, MA/St. Peter Marian) who handed in a card of 169in a tie for 76th (+27) followed by second-year's Zach Mahan's (Leicester, MA) finish of 89th (178; +36), James Letourneau's (Seekonk, MA) place of 91st (181) and Jaron Borus (Dudley, MA) who added a 186 in 93rd.

WSU will compete again on Wednesday when they head to Elms College for the Blazer Fall Invitational.
