Men's Golf Places Third At UMass Dartmouth Fall Invitational
North Dartmouth, MA --- Senior Bob Bruso tied for third with a 79 (+7) as the Worcester State men's golf team placed third out of six teams at the UMass Dartmouth Fall Invitational at the par 72 Allendale Country Club. Senior TJ Magnell and sophomore Chris Ellis also had solid days for the Lancers.
North Dartmouth, MA --- Senior Bob Bruso (Auburn, MA) tied for third with a 79 (+7) as the Worcester State men's golf team placed third out of six teams at the UMass Dartmouth Fall Invitational at the par 72 Allendale Country Club.
Salem State won the event with a composite score of 316 while the Blue and Gold were just 15 strokes off the lead.
Senior TJ Magnell (Leominster, MA) came in second overall in a tie for eighth for WSU with a season-best score of 82 (+10) as sophomore Chris Ellis (Charlton, MA/St. Peter-Marian) was right behind in a two-way tie for 12th (83; +11). Senior Chris Brunelle (Worcester, MA/Holy Name) tied for 18th (+15) while classmate Dave Urella (Worcester, MA/Burncoat) added 23rd place with a card of 89 (+17).
Today's tournament is a warm-up to the NEIGA Championships which will take place over the next two days at Captains Golf Course in Brewster, MA.
