Worcester, MA- In an exciting end to the regular season, the Worcester State’s Men’s Basketball (12-13, 9-3) held on to the third seed in the MASCAC postseason after a comeback victory over the MCLA Trailblazers (6-18, 4-8). The two teams met just this past Saturday in the pivotal game that placed the Lancers as the three seed in the tournament while the Trailblazers advanced as the sixth seed. MCLA jumped out to an early lead on Saturday before Worcester State pushed through late in the second half for the 74-69 victory. With the meeting tonight, each team is looking to claim the needed momentum to advance in the MASCAC tournament.

Worcester, MA- With final seeding on the line and a senior day to celebrate, the final game of the Men’s Basketball season (11-13, 8-3) versus MCLA was lined up to be an exciting meeting. A victory in the day’s game would leave just a Salem State loss, to claim the second seed with the Lancers inching past with the tiebreak needed, in the MASCAC tournament that starts next Tuesday. A loss and Salem State win over Westfield would see the Lancers fall to a potential fifth seed scenario that would lead final seeding out of Worcester’s hands.

Lancers Make Second Half Swing in Pink OUt Game to Take Down the Bears

Worcester, MA- Looking to grab a more solid position on one of the top spots in the postseason, the Worcester State Men’s Basketball team (9-12,6-2) is looking to make it five straight tonight as they look to complete the regular season sweep of the Bridgewater State Bears (9-13, 4-5). This will be the second meeting and full rematch of the 2024 MASCAC Championship meeting teams this season, and Worcester is prepared to set themselves up as a top contender in the conference tournament. Today’s game is also played in conjunction with the Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund created by Gregg '86 and Pam '87 Rosen, which aims to provide a robust curriculum that supports peer to peer education regarding early cancer detection.  Raising Awareness in our young people, particularly Worcester State students in the field of public health, can effectively expedite these important educational initiatives to curb the prevalence of late stage cancer and increase longevity.
