Worcester, MA --- For the fourth-consecutive season, the Worcester State field hockey team has been lauded by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) for their work in the classroom.
N. Dartmouth, MA --- Seven field hockey student-athletes have been named to the Little East Fall All-Academic Team as announced by league publicist Jack Holleran. Both senior Sarah Cozzens and Samantha Janda were repeat honorees.
N. Dartmouth, MA --- Worcester State senior teammates Samantha Janda, Sarah Cozzens and Molly Cotter have all been selected for All-Little East Conference Field Hockey honors for their roles in leading the Lancers to their first winning season and the LEC playoffs since 2008.
South Hadley, MA --- #3 Mount Holyoke defeated sixth-seeded Worcester State, 8-1, this evening in the quarterfinal round of the ECAC Division III Field Hockey Tournament. Sophomore Lindsey McGeary tallied the lone goal for the Lancers in the loss.
Cape Cod, MA --- The Worcester State has been slotted as the sixth seed and will play #3 Mount Holyoke on Wednesday at 7 PM in this week’s upcoming ECAC Division III New England Field Hockey Tournament. The playoff berth marks the sixth time in program history that the Lancers have received a nod to the tournament.
N. Dartmouth, MA --- Sixth-seeded Worcester State dropped a 4-1 loss to #3 UMass Dartmouth this evening in the quarterfinals of the Little East Tournament this evening. Senior Samantha Janda eclipsed the single-season record for points with 38 while classmate Lauren Daley took over the LEC lead in defensive saves in the setback.

Dartmouth, MA --- Senior back Lauren Daley and freshman midfielder Kelli McPherson have both been tabbed with Little East Conference Weekly Honors for helping lead Worcester State to a 3-1 triumph over Fitchburg State this past weekend. Daley was honored as the Defensive Player of the Week while McPherson copped Rookie of the Week accolades.
Worcester, MA --- Senior Samantha Janda had a goal and an assist to help Worcester State to a 3-1 victory over Fitchburg State in LEC field hockey action at Coughlin Field. With the triumph the #6 Lancers earn their first LEC Tournament berth since the 2008 season and will play third-seeded UMass Dartmouth on Wednesday at 6:30 PM.
N. Dartmouth, MA --- Senior forward Samantha Janda and junior net minder Rebecca Mullen have both received the nod for weekly Little East Conference honors for their respective performances in a 2-0 week for Worcester State.
Worcester, MA --- Sophomore Lindsey McGeary notched two goals and junior keeper Rebecca Mullen posted her fourth shutout of the season as they helped lead Worcester State to a 4-0 triumph over Eastern Connecticut in Little East Conference field hockey action this afternoon.
Gorham, ME --- Senior Samantha Janda tallied two goals and added the game-winning helper to help lead Worcester State to a 3-1 triumph over Southern Maine in Little East field hockey action this afternoon. Janda also moved into a tie for ninth on the WSU's all-time scoring list.
Westfield, MA --- Westfield State scored a goal eight minutes into the game that would prove to be the contest-winner as they defeated Worcester State, 1-0 in Little East Field Hockey action this afternoon. Junior net-minder Rebecca Mullen registered four saves in the defeat.
Henniker, NH --- New England College scored a goal with 10 minutes remaining in regulation to defeat Worcester State, 1-0 in non-conference field hockey action this evening. Senior Lauren Daley made two defensive saves in the losing effort for the Lancers.
Worcester, MA --- Worcester State was blanked 3-0 this afternoon by Keene State in Little East Field Hockey action at Coughlin Field. Senior Molly Cotter highlighted the defensive effort with a save for the Lancers in the defeat.
Danbury, CT --- Senior Sarah Cozzens netted her team-leading 12th marker of the season for what would prove to be the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Western Connecticut. Junior Rebecca Mullen also picked up the shutout between the pipes for WSU.
Bridgewater, MA --- Bridgewater State handed Worcester State a 2-1 setback this afternoon in Little East Conference field hockey action. Senior Samantha Janda would net her tenth goal of the season in the setback for WSU.
