Byard and Ramstrom Named to Second Team All-MASCAC

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Worcester State University sophomore AJ Byard (Deerfield Beach, Fla.) and junior Gus Ramstrom (Natick, Mass.) have earned All-Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference honors, as announced by the league on Wednesday afternoon.

Byard was Worcester State's second leading tackler with 76 on the year. His 42 solo tackles was tops on the Lancers. Byard also finished the year with one sack, two tackles for loss, two interceptions, and 10 pass breakups.

Ramstrom finished just ahead of Byard with 78 tackles this season to lead Worcester State. The linebacker had 6.5 tackles for loss to tie for second on the team, with 2.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and two pass breakups.

Both players earn Second Team All-Conference honors for the second consecutive season.
