Westfield, MA — A total of 906 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s 2023 Winter/Spring All-Academic Team that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Baseball team had two named to the MASCAC All-Conference second team. Seniors Cole Glassburn (Hopkinton, MA), named as a starting pitcher, and Alex Sorenti-Burns (Sagamore Beach, MA), as designated hitter, were selected by the league coaches.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lancers traveled to MASCAC tournament hosts Framingham State today to face off in the first round of the MASCAC tournament versus Mass Maritime. This was the fourth time the teams have faced each other in the past week as they closed out the regular season taking two of three from the Buccaneers.
Worcester, MA - Today the Lancers (15-21, 9-10) faced off against the Mass Maritime Buccaneers (20-16, 10-9) in a MASCAC doubleheader matchup in what will be the last game of the regular season for Worcester. Today is also Senior Day for the team, with eight seniors and one graduating student.
WORCESTER, MA- After losing their last 2 games against Bridgewater State, the Lancers took a trip to Buzzards Bay to face Massachusetts Maritime Academy in hopes of ending their four game losing streak.

The duo of games that were moved up to avoid the incoming storms on the weekend looked to create quite the battle in the second to last weekend of MASCAC action.

The first of a three-game series, Worcester State looked to get off to a good start against a Bears team that sits atop the MASCAC standings with less than two weeks to go in the regular season.
Worcester, MA- Coming off a big road double-header sweep of Framingham State this past Saturday, the Lancer baseball team hit the road once again this afternoon to take on fellow MASCAC rivals the Fitchburg State Falcons for a pair of conference games. The rare, mid-week twin billing brought two drastically different ball games to fans in Fitchburg.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lancers (12-16) traveled to Bowditch Field to take on the (19-10) Framingham St. Rams after taking a hard fought 3-2 loss against the Rams the previous day.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Baseball team was back in action on a perfect Friday afternoon as they look to grab the second win of the week after a walk off win on Wednesday over the Anna Maria AMCATs. The Lancers would start their MASCAC weekend showdown hosting Framingham State, currently 8-3 in the conference, in what could be a deciding series for postseason placement.
Worcester, MA- Going into today’s game the Lancers’ record sat at 11-15. This out-of-conference game would have no impact on their seeding in the MASCAC, but a good performance, after a hard loss against Fitchburg yesterday, could only put the team back on a winning path.

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Baseball was looking to put some wins back in their column after a rough start to the weekend series versus Westfield State. The Lancers would power through the 14 innings and a two-hour rain delay to come home with the victories and move to 6-3 in the MASCAC.
Division III, New England baseball and softball usually come down to one thing. Pitching. While offense may win games, pitching and defense most definitely wins championships. Lancers baseball and softball headed into the 2023 season with some key pieces returning from prior years. Now, as both squads find themselves about half way through their 40-game campaign, a look into the pitching performances of the Lancers may just tell us how baseball and softball may do down the homestretch.
Worcester, MA- The Lancers had their three-game win streak snapped this afternoon by the visiting Nichols College Bison. It was quite the slugfest with 27 combined hits, 18 combined runs and a pair of home runs. When all was said and done Nichols walked away with an 11-7 victory.
Worcester, MA- After an intense double-header on Saturday that garnered two wins for the Lancers, the boys were back in action on Monday afternoon as they played host to the Clark University Cougars this afternoon, in a game with plenty of drama heading in. Just over two weeks ago, Worcester State lost a heartbreaker to the Cougars in a late-inning collapse that culminated in a Clark walk-off. With a chip on their shoulder, the Lancers returned the favor taking a back-and-forth battle in walk-off fashion.
