Jake Poitras Named GNAC Rookie of the Week
Worcester State University men’s golfer Jake Poitras (Harwich, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.

WINTHROP, Mass. – Worcester State men’s golfer Jake Poitras (Harwich, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.
Poitras carded a six-over 77 on Wednesday, leading the Lancers golf team to a fourth-place finish at the eight-team Brett Williamson Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University at Tekoa Country Club. Poitras finished just two strokes off the pace, as the winner of the event shot a 75 before winning in a playoff.
Poitras and the Worcester State men’s golf team will play next on Tuesday, October 2 as they host the MASCAC Championships at Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton.
