Weeks and Lewis Capture MASCAC Men’s Track & Field Weekly Accolades

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University’s Sam Weeks (Methuen, Mass.) and Justin Lewis (Lynn, Mass.) have captured Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men’s indoor track & field weekly accolades as they shined in their performances at the Tufts Invitational #1 this past weekend.

Weeks was named the Field Athlete of the Week as he finished first in the weight throw and shot put. He had a PR toss of 16.41m to win the weight throw and added a second PR in the shot put with a toss of 15.91m. His marks rank him 7^th in the shot put and 12^th in the weight throw nationally in NCAA Division III.

Lewis earned the Rookie of the Week award as he finished first in the high jump which moved him into a tie for 5^th in the national NCAA Division III rankings with a leap of 2.05m. He is ranked in a tie for 3^rd on the Division III New England list. Lewis also added a second place finish in the triple jump with a top jump of 12.77m.
