Dan Santerre begins his fourth season as an assistant coach atWorcester State. Most recently during the 2013 campaign, he helpedguide the Lancers to their fifth-straight MASCAC Tournament and tothe ECAC Division III New England Tournament Championship game asthe seventh seed.
In 2012 and 2011, the Lancers also captured consecutive MASCACRegular Season titles and in 2011, the Blue and Gold won theirfirst-ever league tournament title and made their first NCAAappearance since 1987.
Coach Santerre brings a wealth of softball knowledge to theLancer softball program; he previously spent nine seasons coachingat Division II Assumption and two seasons at Nichols. CoachSanterre was named the 1995-96 Northeast 10 Softball Coach of theYear before retiring in 2000 to spend more time with hisfamily.
Coach Santerre has directed various camps and clinics thoughoutthe Worcester are and he has spent the last seven years as the HeadCoach of the Central Mass Xplosion.
Coach Santerre graduated from Nichols College with a BA inManagement in 1979. He currently resides in Thompson, CT with hiswife Nancy and children Alyson and Andrew.
