Cape Cod, MA --- Senior classmates Nikki Scott and Danielle Clifford have each been tabbed to the New England Intercollegiate Women’s Soccer Association (NEWISA) All-New England team while Scott has been selected as an ECAC Division III New England All-Star. Both were the only representatives on each team from the MASCAC.
Worcester, MA --- Worcester State women’s soccer student-athlete Nikki Scott has been selected as a Capital One Division III Academic Third-Team All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (Co-SIDA). Scott's academic honor is the first for a WSU student-athlete since 2002.
Worcester, MA --- Senior teammates Danielle Clifford and Nikki Scott have both been tabbed to play in the upcoming New England Intercollegiate Women’s Soccer Association (NEWISA) All-Star game. Clifford would tally the contests' game-winning marker in the 55th minute as she helped team Gang Green earn the eventual 6-2 triumph.
Buzzards Bay, MA --- Senior standout Danielle Clifford has been named the MASCAC Player of the Year in a vote by the leagues eight head coaches last week as announced by conference publicist Jim Seavey. Along with Clifford, senior Nikki Scott and junior Brianne Beckman received nods to the team while Kevin Cumberbatch was selected as the Turfer MASCAC Coach of the Year.
Worcester, MA --- Senior Danielle Clifford scored the lone goal for top-seeded Worcester State in a 1-1 draw with #2 Keene State and she also had the clinching tally in a 4-3 shootout to help the Lancers earn their first-ever ECAC Division III New England Women’s Soccer Tournament Championship.
Worcester, MA --- Worcester State senior Danielle Clifford snapped a scoreless tie in the 76th minute with the lone goal of the contest to help lead the top-seeded Lancers to a 1-0 triumph over #4 UMass-Boston this afternoon in the semifinals of the ECAC Division III New England Championship this afternoon at Coughlin Field.
Worcester, MA --- Sophomore Gaby Gonet booted the match-clinching penalty kick as Worcester State drew with the University of New England 1-1 and advanced to the ECAC Division III New England Tournament semifinals, 5-4, in a shootout this evening at Coughlin Field.
Cape Cod, MA --- The Worcester State women’s soccer team has been selected as the top-seed in this week’s upcoming ECAC Division III New England Tournament. The Lancers, who are making their second-ever ECAC appearance, will entertain #8 University of New England at 6 PM in the opening round on Wednesday.
Worcester, MA --- #2 Westfield State netted a late goal in the second half to help lift the second-seeded Owls to a 1-0 victory over #1 Worcester State in the MASCAC Tournament Championship game this evening at Coughlin Field. Angiezaka Sychtysz made four saves for the hosts.

Fitchburg, MA --- Senior Danielle Clifford scored the lone goal of the contest to help lift Worcester State to a 1-0 triumph over Fitchburg State in MASCAC women’s soccer action. In the win, the Lancers have claimed a share of the MASCAC regular season title and the top-seed in next week's conference tournament.
North Dartmouth, MA --- Junior Courtney Pellon notched the game-clininching goal in the 102nd minute of the second overtime to help lead Worcester State to a 1-0 victory over UMass Dartmouth. Pellon recieved an assist on the play from classmate Sarina Lathrop.
Worcester, MA --- Salem State scored a goal off of a free-kick in the 53rd minute to defeat Worcester State, 1-0, in MASCAC women's soccer action at Coughlin Field. The Lancers honored their senior players who participated in their final regular season home game this afternoon.
Worcester, MA --- The end of the 2010 season was bittersweet for the Worcester State women’s soccer team. The Lancers won the MASCAC Tournament championship and advanced to the NCAAs for the fifth time — a terrific accomplishment — but WSU players and coaches left the field after a 1-0 first-round NCAA loss to Eastern Connecticut State believing it was a game they could have and should have won.
